Where have you been all my...4 months?

Yes, it has been almost 4 months since I last posted. I read that post tonight and realized that I promised pictures of the wedding. Here are a few. These are snapshots from the James family. Thanks y'all.
The lovely and tasty wedding cake is from Nancy Michelsen. She did a wonderful job.
Aunt Terry and Elizabeth made all of the caramel corn for the favors. So yummy, people were asking for the recepie!
Uncle James helped run the food service for the wedding and all of the meals at home. He never stops working! I love my brother!
So many people from the ward helped with the food service, sewing, general support!
Thanks to Randy Collier for the professional photos!
And the videos that made us laugh and cry were by Barlow Elton.
My momma made the beautiful venue a reality, wow!
Oh, all of our families pitched in so much it is unbelievable! Y'all are wonderful!
A quick preview of my next post. An addition to the family, meet Master Rorey and Kaytlyn was in Alta's The King and I. She was fantastic!

It is done

The wedding was successful. Marlena and Steen are married. It was a beautiful day. Only now am I looking back to see that there are things, well moments that I missed. Crying was one of those things. Now is a good time. What do ya do?

I'm so grateful for all of the help we had. They came from far and near. They were with us for very late nights and early mornings. With out my family and friends it would have been...well lack luster and a flop!

And there were no major problems, except there was SO MUCH food! We were able to bring some to the homeless shelter and cater a few other events. I will post some pictures as soon as I'm able. Right now my computer is lame like a two legged dog.

Oh how they grow!

As I mentioned in my last post Marlena is getting married. She has also just purchased her first automobile. She is now off of our auto insurance. She continues to...well grow up. Just putting it out there... Marlena is a great inspiration!

Kaytlyn continues to surprise and amaze me. She will be a junior next year. Yes, I said a JUNIOR! She is responsible enough to look for a summer job and smart enough to know when one doesn't come her way you just keep looking. She is learning so much right now about life and herself. She is fast on Marlena's heels. Kaytlyn is the sunshine in my day!

Where is yours?

Marlena insists I need a new post. Well she is the only person that reads this anyway, but I wonder...where is your updated post Missy? It has been 3 weeks!

STEEN...

Steen is HOME!!! Welcome back and thank you for all of your hard work and dedication. As a person that was directly touched by a young missionary such as yourself, I can assure you the sacrifice and efforts you have made will go on forever. I heard from "my missionary" even when I graduated from college which was about 25 years or so after he changed our lives. Your members will never forget you and they'll enjoy updating you on their lives and progress you helped them begin.

Steen we are glad to have you back. I hope you find your return home as rewarding as your time in California. We all loved you even before you grew in the love of the Lord so, imagine our regard for you now! You are great!

He is SOOOOOO Old

My fantastic husband has a birthday today. We tease him a lot about being old. He takes it with a grain of salt. Todd is wonderful. He helps around the house. Which not only includes dishes and laundry, it also includes remodeling and design. He sticks with me even when I'm acting irrational, WAIT...did I say irrational? I meant to say "a little silly". He works hard at a job he doesn't particularly enjoy so we are able to have insurance, a home, a car, a better life... He is funny. He loves to make people laugh! He is a priesthood holder that is willing to take an active roll in our ward as well as our eternal exaltation. Did I happen to mention he is handsome! Ladies, I know you think this kind of man is only found in our fantasies but, he lives with me in the flesh. I love him very much!

Happy Birthday Todd!
